Avenue Of The Giants
Avenue Of The Giants is a 30 mile road that parallels Hwy.101. I was in a hurry to get to San Fran but made it a point to spend some time with the nobel red woods of nor cal. Pictures dont really do the trees justice.
When I was little my mother, nana, brothers and I took a road trip up to Oregon from here and we saw The Avenue of the Giants. And I remember literally thinking it was a city for giants. I imagined people 6 stories tall drinking lakes of water and making huge pancakes for supper. I figured they must sit around all day because if they walked too much they may cause an earthquake. I was mistaken, but I certainly wasn't disappointed. Anyway, just glad you got to see them.
Quinn, The guts of a soot blower at 125 degrees sure are no match for the Avenue of the Giants. Keep up the free spirit attitude and believe me living out of a vehicle sure beats paying the government taxes on a house that you also make payments on. While in San Fransisco be sure to heed the words of Scott McKenzie..... http://scottmckenzie.info/

Nice pics, I got to see the inside of 125 degree mill today. The wood chip piles are beautifull this time of year.
Have fun in San Fran.
