Costa Rica

Today was the 1st day back on my bike in almost 2 weeks. In that time I have spent alot of time with my foot in the air. In excitement for being back on the bike I cycled half of Costa Rica in one day, 145 miles. My ankle held up for the better part of the day but then swelled and ached after I stopped.
I was lucky enough to meet up with some freinds in Tamarindo, CR. For nearly two weeks I acted like I was on vacation, spending alot of time relaxing on the beach and reading and a little rum.
When I woke up this morning I had to say goodbye to some freinds flying back to the states. It was very hard for me to watch them leave me. A part of me wanted to catch the plane with them and continue at home where I left off. But the excitement to get back to my bike was overpowering.
I cant stress enough how much it meant to me that I was able to spent time with really good people. Kelly, Missy, Michelle, Molly, thanks for putting up with my cripple self on your vacation. And I would also like to thank Stephanie and justin Haring in San Juan Del Sur for being so helpfull. I Spent a few days on their couch with my foot in the air.

It sounds like if you were going to hurt your ankle, it was at just the right time- lots of people to take care of you.
I hope it's healed well enough now- good luck! Enjoy being back on the bike again!

    Hey Quinn!!

Everything sounds great - glad to hear the ankle is holding up.

Where are you on the money thing? How much more do you need to reach your goal?

Just to let everyone know, we are still short of the goal Quinn set for donations. I do think this whole thing is gaining momentum though. All we need is one good break and we get some national coverage.
Lets all get the word out and help Quinn reach his goal.
Thanks to everyone for your support.

well i guess my advice was really bad....Sorry Quinn about your ankle you really must have bunged it up!!! Sounds like you bounced back really fast....

I have emailed CBS about your goal Quinn so maybe we can get you exposure on all fronts...

If anybody has friends at any news station in your area....call them... that will help too.

Quinn when you get back I will have a party for ya...but you have to come to Custer, SD to be there...otherwise we will drink beer without ya!!

hugs and much love dearie...we are pulling for you and sending all the good karma your way possible..

    love
