Wisconsin and back to Peru
It was a great time being able to see my family and freinds for a couple weeks. As long as 2 weeks seemed at first it was not long enough. Its a difficult task trying to catch up with old and new freinds and family in a matter of 2 weeks. I am glad to have visited the people I did, and way too hard to leave them.
I flew out of Wisconsin on the 26th at 6 am and landed in Lima at 12:30 on the 27th. After waiting in line for customs for an hour I was strung out and tired from all the traveling insanity. I went to pick up my bag but it never came. I had gathered from home all the gear that I could not find in South America and brought back this duffel bag full. Now it was lost somewhere along the 16 hour trip. Maybe it fell off over cuba and fidel has a new rain jacket who knows. So the last few days have been hectic, flying around town trying to find gear and replacment parts for my bike but I am comming up short. For anyone that reads this please send twinkies, I cant find them here and I am feeling faint. I am very anxious to get back one road and sleep in the ditch like the bum I am.
All bad jokes aside, I want to thank everyone that helped me at home. With all the airtime with the radio, news, and newspaper, thanks alot. I hope it will help the fundraiser out. I am halfway to my goal and only 2 months left to raise funds. I also want to thank Janines family in Lima for letting me stay so much time at there amazing casa. Thanks for everything.
